Julie Martin

Functional Medicine Coach

Julie is a hospital-based medical writer and editor in Boston. A life-long interest in health, wellness, and prevention inspired her to pursue certifications in exercise science, health coaching, culinary coaching, and stress management, all of which she now brings to well+wiser.

Using a functional medicine approach, Julie believes that:

  • The mind and all of the body systems are interconnected

  • With the right tools --- food, sleep, movement, stress management --- a body knows how to heal itself and return to wellness

  • Each person is shaped by their personal history, genes, environment, beliefs, and choices, and is therefore completely unique!

The client is in charge. Each person knows his or her body better than anyone else (including doctor, parent, spouse) and has intuition and wisdom that runs deep.
